Hiking
On long hikes, stable weather is rare — that’s where a hard shell shines. It protects against sudden downpours, strong winds on exposed ridges and fast-changing temperatures. High breathability prevents overheating during climbs, while the rugged outer fabric resists abrasions from rocks and backpacks.
Everyday
The clean design and lightweight construction make the jacket equally functional in daily life. Whether commuting by bike or walking through the city, you get full protection without bulk. The breathable membrane ensures all-day comfort, while the durable exterior handles year-round wear effortlessly.
Wet Weather Conditions
With a 15.000 mm water column, fully taped seams and a windproof membrane, this hard shell creates a true weather-proof barrier. It shields you from heavy rain, sleet and wind gusts without sacrificing breathability — ideal for unpredictable climates and long days outdoors.
Ski
Hard shells excel in alpine environments: they block wind-chill on lifts, shed snow instantly and allow sweat to escape during high-intensity skiing. The 4-way stretch gives you full mobility, while the high durability rating ensures the jacket holds up against branches, ski edges and backpacks.
Tips for Washing & Longevity
Shell jackets should rarely be washed. Instead of washing, you can simply wipe the jacket down with a cloth if it gets dirty. But when you do need to wash it, here are some tips to help you keep your jacket looking its best for as long as possible.
When you do wash
- Turn your jacket inside out.
- Wash at 40°C max.
- Use mild detergent without enzymes and chemicals.
- Don’t use fabric softener.
- High spin speed (1200-1400 RPM) is acceptable due to the polyester material.
- Tumble dry is acceptable to re-activate the membrane.
Additional Care
- Impregnation: Impregnate your jacket once per season to maintain its waterproof properties.
